Jan Jagaran Yatra 15th Day
जुल्मी कब तक जुल्म करेगा शोषण़ के हथियारों से, हम भी उसको ध्वस्त करेंगे एकताबद्ध कतारों से।

Today is the 15th day of our Jan Jagaran Yatra, foot-march against injustice, which started on 15th January 2014 from Kaithal, Haryana and will reach Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to organize a mass protest demonstration on 31st January. We have walked over 300 km through villages, towns and cities across Haryana, walking through Jind on 19th Jan, Rohtak on 22nd Jan, Jhajjar on 26th Jan and reached Gurgaon yesterday 28th Jan to a warm welcome when hundreds of workers of Gurgaon, particularly of the Maruti plants of Gurgaon, Powertrain, Bike and Manesar joining us. Maruti workers and families of arrested workers are walking with us through village after village. We are taking the message of our struggle against exploitation heaped on us organising nukkad sabhas wherever our march is going through.

We organized street corner meetings across the city of Gurgaon yesterday. In the sabha yesterday in CRP chowk, other than MSWU Manesar, hundreds of workers and unions like Honda MSI Employees Union, Maruti Udyog Kamgar Union, Subros Employees Union, RICO Dharuhera employees Union, FCC RICO Employees Union, Hero Employees Union, Sunbeam Workers Union, AITUC, AIUTUC, HMS, CITU and others came, spoke and also contributed financially in solidarity with the struggle. That the struggle of workers of Maruti along with other recent struggles in the industrial belt is indicating a possibility of a new struggling workers unity in the belt was stressed by all the workers. Other than Trade Unions, mass democratic organisations like Jan Sangharsh Manch, Samtamulak Mahila Sangathan, Sarva Karamchari Sangh, Inquilabi Mazdoor Kendra, Krantikari Naujawan Sabha, AIDSO, Sanhati and many others came in support.

Today morning, we started from Gurgaon, and organized a protest demonstration in front of the Maruti Suzuki factory in Gurgaon. We were joined by Union officials like Kuldeep Jhangu from MUKU (Maruti Udyog Kamgar Union) who spoke in solidarity, and told us how workers in the Gurgaon plant have also raised our issue as well as common issues of workers in both the plants with the owner of Suzuki group, Mr. O.Suzuki who is India at present. After this, we are marching towards Delhi, crossing the garment workers industrial areas of Kapashera and are reaching JNU in the evening where JNUSU and other student-youth groups have organized cultural programs in our solidarity with the struggle.

WE reiterate our demands of release of 148 arrested workers who have been denied bail for the last 18 month, reinstatement of all terminated workers, and an impartial investigation into the incident of 18th July 2012. In the last three years, our struggle has seen a long road. We have seen the pro-corporate, anti-worker, anti-people faces of the company management, labour and other administrative departments, the police and courts, and if our demands are not met, we shall intensify our struggle in the coming says. On 30th Jan, we shall march through Delhi, through IIT Gate-AIIMS-INA-Safdarjung Airport- Prithviraj Road-Aurangjeb Road-Janpath-Jantar Mantar. We appeal to all workers, trade unions, student-youth and women’s organisations, and mass and democratic organizations to join us on 31st in the mass protest demonstration in Jantar Mantar at 11am and spread the struggle.
